The AmeriCam AC022N is a high performance, automatic, practical driver assistance device. The primary objective is very simple: to help a driver to see things that they may not otherwise see when backing up. It is difficult to see behind travel trailers even when the tow vehicle is equipped with extended mirrors, and it is extremely difficult to see when backing up. The AmeriCam AC022N solves this by providing a clear, wide angle view at the back of the trailer, day or night.

Designed in Silicon Valley, California, all AmeriCam products are engineered to the highest standards. The C2 camera that is included in the AC022N kit is rated at IP68 which means it is impervious to dust and water. The AC022N kit consists of a Pearl Silver MicroBlock^TM camera which can be mounted in one of several ways with or without the included purpose designed bracket. There are no electrical connections necessary on the trailer and all power and control comes from the tow vehicle. Using our patented cable installation technology, a single 3/16" connector is fed from the back to the front of the trailer and hooks up to the tow vehicle via an IP68 rated, all weather connector, right alongside of the standard trailer electrical connector.

Typical installation time of the trailer section is around 30 minutes, and connecting the control module in the tow vehicle is an additional 15 minutes assuming the tow vehicle already has an AmeriCam camera system installed. If not, allow 30 ~ 45 minutes to install a complete backup system and monitor in the tow vehicle.

No other system in the market is as quick and easy to install. In addition, since AmeriCam products are modular plug and play devices, additional features such as a front camera can be easily added at any time.
